MISSION

Our mission is to provide high quality services to all individuals despite their prevailing background, languages spoken, and/or income status. We at Organic Play & Therapy believe that early intervention provides a base for parents, interventionists, and licensed professionals to engage and encourage each child to reach their full potential through play and high-quality skilled therapy services. Services are provided with respect for individuality and equality, while providing accessibility to a diverse community. Ultimately, our goal is to provide parents/caregivers with resources to allow for each child to reach their developmental milestones.

Marva Butler

FOUNDER

Since 2015, I have been dedicated to providing early intervention services, helping children reach developmental milestones while mentoring families on how to support their growth. With over 20 years in leadership roles—working with SRLDP, LAUP, First 5 LA, and NAEYC preschools and daycare programs—I have guided countless families through the early childhood journey. As a mother of three extraordinary children, I have both personal and professional experience supporting children with special needs. Being a trilingual therapist has given me the privilege of working with diverse communities, allowing me to approach each child’s development with cultural awareness and sensitivity. Beyond direct therapy, I train and mentor specialists, fostering best practices in the field. My approach is mindful, inclusive, and focused on empowering families and children alike.

Christopher Cruz

FOUNDER

As a bilingual Early Intervention Specialist with years of experience, I am deeply committed to supporting children from birth to three years old across Los Angeles County. My approach is comprehensive, blending developmental support with an understanding of each family’s unique cultural, emotional, and environmental context. I believe that true growth happens when all aspects of a child’s life—family, community, and individual needs—are considered. With a background in special needs and active involvement in the foster and adoptive communities, I provide mentorship to both families and fellow therapists, guiding them toward best practices and empowering them in their professional and personal journeys. My work is rooted in inclusivity, and I am passionate about advocating for children and families, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community.
